Meat and eggs from a farm twenty minutes out of Edinburgh.

We're on the Preston Hall Estate at Pathhead. We deliver our own meat and eggs, and whatever our neighbours have grown or baked that week, across Midlothian and into the city.

How we farm

  • Animals out on grass, all season
Moved to fresh pasture. Slower growing, better ground.

  • Pigs in the woodland
Rooting where they should be, not on concrete.

  • Butchered here on the farm
Meat hangs as long as it should. Nothing travels to be cut.

  • No routine antibiotics

Healthy animals, because of how they're kept.

  • A food hub: Neighbours fill the rest of the shop

Veg, milk, cheese and bread from people we know and trust.

Bramblewood Farm

  • Bramblewood Farm was founded in June 2025 by Nick when he retired after 15 years in the Army.

  • The farm raises laying hens, meat chickens, sheep, and pigs, whilst growing a kitchen garden, and running a butchery.

  • "I started Bramblewood for one simple reason: to grow the food I want to feed my family. Too much intensively farmed food is bland, low in nutrition, and coated in things I don’t want on our plates. It also relies on a fragile system, and since Covid, the thought of empty shelves and poor-quality food has stayed with me."

  • Small, profitable, local farms that feed their community are the solution to both of these problems, and to many others.
