Thank you to everyone who has joined us on a farm tour these past few months. It has been a joy to meet so many people who are genuinely interested in what we are doing here.
Wev’e now reached the end of Farm tour season for us as the short days and worsening weather limits our time and energy to the essential tasks of running the farm. We hope to extent this period in future years as we improve our infrastructure and land base, but for now, we must hunker down for winter.
we’ll restart these tours in the new year and will keep everyone up to date with our products and offerings as we continue to grow in the meantime.
Thank you all so much, and we hope you have a peaceful and cosy winter.
Please reach us at Nick@Bramblewoodfarm.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Please book one ticket per adult (16+). Each adult can bring up to two children included in their ticket. We are working on improving the functionality of the site to allow multiple tickets per booking, but for now you'll need to just create a separate booking per adult ticket.
For example, if you are a parent with a ten year old and a five year old, book one ticket. If you are a parent with a 16 year old and two under tens, book two tickets (one for the parent and under tens and one for the 16 year old). If you have any questions, please get in touch.
Just dress for the weather and make sure you are wearing closed shoes or boots. The field can get muddy and there will be some manure and droppings on the pasture, so don't wear your Sunday best.
We will meet five minutes before the scheduled tour time outside the Bramblewood Farm Shop.
Yes, you will get to meet the animals and have some time playing with and interacting with them. All our animals are very well socialised and love human contact, but they are still animals and they will need you to be calm, respectful, and kind.
Animals poop and pee where they want, there's no getting around it. We move our animals onto fresh pasture several times per week which keeps things fresh but Zoonotic disease (animal to human infection) is always a risk when interacting with livestock. We can minimise that risk by washing our hands and avoiding eating and drinking whilst on the tour since most infection occurs orally. We provide handwashing stations and reminders throughout and you can bring your own hand sanitiser if you wish (This should not replace handwashing though, soap and water is always recommended). If you have any concerns, please get in touch.
Yes, you can take an empty carton with you and collect your own eggs from the Chickens. You can pay for the eggs at any time before or after the tour.
When you make the booking, you will be asked if you want to create an account with us. If you choose this option, you will be able to view and amend your upcoming bookings. If not, you can create an account using the same email address you used to make the booking, and you should be able to access your bookings.
In order to make providing a free tour more sustainable, we initially opted to host paid events in addition to the free ones to try and cover the costs. But that didn't feel right to us and it added complexity to the organisation. So we decided to make them all free and provide a channel for people to make a donation if they chose to.
If you feel that you would like a refund, please get in touch to discuss.
